WHO; My name is Megan. I am twenty-one years old and a history major in Portland, Oregon (that puts me in the PST time zone [GMT -8]). I have been participating in various types of online roleplaying for about seven years. I started with one-session AIM chats and InvisionBoards, moving on to LiveJournal and then finally reaching GreatestJournal after about a year and a half. I played at GreatestJournal until it no longer became a reliable server and now split my time between InsaneJournal and LiveJournal. I have been in creative writing & poetry workshops on and off since 7th grade & was also published in my high school's literary magazine. I love all types of fantasy books, but also am just a huge fan of reading in general, which has helped mold me into a competent writer who carefully thinks out her entries and posts. I can be serious as well as silly and love to talk with my fellow RPers out of character as well. Some of my best internet friends are people from RPGs I've played at in the past.
WHAT; But let's get to why you're here. This is my ICON JOURNAL! (yaaay) I used to house all of my icons over at Lemew at GJ, but as of January 2007 I decided that I needed a fresh start. As all of the icons I had posted over there were for my personal use in RPGs anyway, I thought that I might as well move them all over to my new journal, Odes Icons. As of January 2008 Odes Icons moved to Insanejournal and got a name change. In January of 2009 GreatestJournal closed permanently so all of my old icons are now lost. Sadfaces. Requests are always welcome.
WHERE; I will play in both social and plot-centric games, but having good structure and organization is a must. If I don't think your game is organized or has much of a future, I simply won't join. I prefer thread-based games far more than aim (log)-based games. I am less likely to join a solely log-based game simply because I find them less fun. I will do logging, but it is not my first choice.
POTTER;Before The Deathly Hallows came out, I almost soley participated in Potter RPGs. I have since expanded my game repertoire but Potter RP will always be something I will play. Susan Bones is my RPG baby and I will always consider playing her before any other open character. Just because a game's Susan is taken, it does not mean that I will dismiss the game entirely. It also doesn't mean that I will automatically choose to play her. I enjoy going outside of my comfort zone and picking characters I rarely play. That being said, I do have a character "type" and have the most fun playing Hufflepuffs and silly Gryffindor boys.
CONTACT; I'm really not as scary or picky as I sound, I promise! Please feel free to reach me by commenting on this journal. I'll respond quickly and be happy to elaborate any questions you may have or consider any game you might like to throw my way.
AFFILIATE?; Feel free to comment in this entry with affiliate requests. :) PB requests go on the requests page. Any requests made here will be ignored and deleted.
